Onour Impram
Onour Impram is a mental health expert and AI researcher. He provides individual and couples counseling and studies the safe, ethical, and transparent use of generative AI in mental health care. He belongs to the Turkish minority of Western Thrace and grew up in the village of Mischos near Komotini.
Education
He completed his bachelor's in guidance and psychological counseling at Hacettepe University, with honors and on a full merit scholarship, and a master's in the same field there. He holds a master's in clinical psychology from Ankara Social Sciences University and a recognized degree equivalency in psychology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Research and professional roles
He serves as a researcher in the Project 13 expert working group of the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA) and, as a PSI Graduate Member, studies the intersection of AI and mental health. Üretken Yapay Zekâ ve Ruh Sağlığı (Nobel Akademik, 2026): Single-author, ten-chapter monograph on generative AI across psychotherapy, psychoeducation, assessment, and crisis intervention, with its clinical safety and ethical boundaries. English adaptation under review at Springer Nature.
Pozitif Psikoloji (Ibn Haldun University Press, 2026): Edited volume with a foreword by Tayyab Rashid. Author of five chapters on overcoming difficult times, strengths, meaning, mindfulness, and positive relationships.
